Getting to Koh Lanta From Krabi:

 

By Minivan:

The transfer includes a pickup from your hotel in Krabi Town, at Krabi Bus Terminal, or Krabi Airport and ferry´s transfer costs. There are departures every hour between 7 am and 5 pm offered throughout the day so you can choose any time that suits your schedule.

Normally, minivan drivers will bring you right to the door of your hotel, so you don´t need to worry about taking another transport once you are on the island. It´s recommendable to have a paper with the name of the accommodation to show the driver and make even easier your journey.

 

By Car:

If you decide to come by car, the journey will take around 1:30 hours. You have to drive south direction until Hua Hin Pier, where a car ferry service is required to get in Lanta Islands.

The car ferries run continuously from 6:00 to 22:00 (from 7:00 to 20:30 if low season), The transfer from mainland to Lanta Noi takes around 25min and, once is Lanta Noi, you just need to drive to Lanta Yai by crossing a bridge that connects both islands.

 

By Ferry:

This service is only available during the high season; From November to April.

Ferries depart from Klong Jilat Pier (near Krabi Town) and have 2 departure times daily; At 11:30 and 14:30, the trip normally takes a bit less than 2 hours and the price should be around 400 or 500 baht. Ferries will arrive to Koh Lanta Yai´s main pier Baan Saladan.

 

 

Getting to Koh Lanta From Phuket:

 

By Minivan:

Minivans a micro-bus run from Phuket´s Bus terminal 1 during the whole year.

Minivan service is available several times a day and the micro-bus service departs at 14:30 every day. The trip takes about 4:30 and 5:30 hours depending on weather and road conditions, and the drivers will bring you right to the door of your hotel, so you don´t need to worry about taking another transport once you are on the island. It´s recommendable to have a paper with the name of the accommodation to show the driver and make even easier your journey.

 

By Ferry:

This service is available from October to June.

Ferries depart from Rassada Pier (near Old Town). Many companies are operating this route and, apart from time departures, you can choose between different ferry services like normal ferry, fast ferry or speedboat. Also, there are service direct to Koh Lanta and others that stop in Koh Phi Phi. We recommend you to check all the schedules and prices with your hotel or travel agency.

Ferries will arrive to Koh Lanta Yai´s main pier Baan Saladan.

 

 

Getting to Koh Lanta From Phi Phi:

 

By Ferry:

This service is available for the whole year.

Ferries depart from Phi Phi´s Pier and have 2 departure times daily; At 9:15 and 11:45, the trip normally takes about 30 min and the price should be around 750 baht. Ferries will arrive at Koh Lanta Yai´s main pier Baan Saladan.

 

 

Getting to Koh Lanta From Bangkok:

 

By Plane:

This is the quickest and more comfortable way to come from Bangkok; Getting to Koh Lanta via Krabi airport. The flight to Krabi takes about 1:30 hours, once in Krabi you can choose between taking a minibus or a private transfer to the island. Please check the information above about the minivan and private transfer services.

Flights to Koh Lanta start from 600 baht if you buy it in advance.

 

By Bus:

Another way to come from Bangkok is the bus. It will take about 12-14 hours to reach Phuket or Krabi and from there, please check the info above about the different ways to get to Koh Lanta from these locations.
