PADI Discover Scuba Diving

 

A PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience with Hidden Depths Diving involves two dives under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. You will:

·  Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it.
·  Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and learn whether you can be comfortable there.
·  Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification when you take the next step.

We are passionate about diving and teaching. We promise to take as much time as you need to make you the best diver you can be. To make that happen, our groups are small so you get the attention you need.

 

Prerequisites

Qualifications – none

Minimum age – 10 years old

Medical form – you will need to complete a form to certify that you are fit to dive. Please take a look at this medical form to see if any of the conditions apply to you. If they do, then you can either see your family doctor or we can assist you in arranging an appointment with a doctor here so that you can be certified fit to dive.

 

Structure

You will complete the PADI Discover Scuba Diving booklet and medical form. After watching a short DVD to give you some basic diving knowledge, you will complete a short quiz. You will then make two dives from our speedboat, to a maximum depth of 12 meters. Our experienced instructors take no more than two participants on their adventure.

Your diving adventure will take you to one of our local dive sites at Koh Haa, Koh Bida, or Koh Phi Phi.

You will experience the weightlessness of the underwater world, and discover the amazingly colorful aquatic life on our nearby coral reefs.

 

Included in the cost of the course

All PADI materials, drinks, breakfast, and lunch on the diving day, transfer to and from your resort.

 

Not included

Marine park fees. 600 Baht per person per day.

 

When you complete your experience

At the end of your day, you will be awarded with a certificate to recognize your achievement.

 

Your next adventure

While not an actual scuba qualification, it may count towards your certification if you choose to move on to the PADI Scuba Diver or the PADI Open Water course.
